1..Touring..
Main article: Touring motorcycle

Although any motorcycle can be equipped and used for
touring, touring motorcycles are specifically designed
to excel at covering long distances. [1] They have
large-displacement engines, fairings and screens that
offer good weather and wind protection, large-capacity
fuel tanks for long ranges between fill-ups, and a
relaxed, upright seating position. [1] Passenger
accommodation is excellent and expansive luggage
space is the norm for this class. [1] Such bikes can
have wet weights of 850–900 lb (390–410 kg) and top
1,300–1,400 lb (590–640 kg) fully loaded with a rider,
passenger, and gear. [12]
Bagger , full dresser , full dress tourer, or dresser are
various names for touring motorcycles, sometimes
used disparagingly or jocularly, and originally referring
to a Harley-Davidson or other cruisers with full sets
of saddlebags. Now refers to any touring motorcycle.

2..Sport touring..
Main article: Sport touring motorcycle

Sport touring motorcycles combine attributes of sport
bikes and touring motorcycles. The rider posture is
less extreme than a sport bike, giving greater long-
distance comfort. [1] Accommodation for a passenger is
superior to a sport bike as well, along with luggage
capacity. [1] Being lighter, at 550–720 lb (250–
330 kg) wet, [12] than a pure touring bike and often
having racier engines, suspensions, and brakes, sport
tourers corner better and are more at home being
aggressively ridden on curvy canyon roads. [1] The
distinction between touring and sport touring is not
always clear as some manufacturers will list the
same bike in either category in different markets. The
Honda ST1300 Pan-European , for example, was listed
by Honda as a sport touring motorcycle in the United
States and Australia, but as a touring motorcycle in
Europe.
..3.. Dual-sport.
Main article: Dual-sport motorcycle
BMW R1200GS dual-sport motorcycle.
Dual-sports, sometimes called dual-purpose or on/off-
road motorcycles, are street legal machines that are
also designed to enter off-road situations. [1] Typically
based on a dirt bike chassis, they have added lights,
mirrors, signals, and instruments that allow them to
be licensed for public roads. [3] They are higher than
other street bikes, with a high center of gravity and
tall seat height, allowing good suspension travel for
rough ground. [1]
Adventure motorcycles are motorcycles with touring
capability on paved and unpaved roads. As a dual-
sport they have a significant on-pavement bias and
perform well on pavement at higher speeds unlike
most dual-sports. [3][23] Their size, weight and
sometimes their tires, however, limits their off road
capability. Most adventure motorcycles function well
on graded dirt and gravel roads but are less than
ideal on more difficult off-pavement terrain.
Supermoto motorcycles were designed to compete on a
single course that alternated between three genres of
racing: road racing , track racing , and motocross . This
increasingly popular type of motorcycle is often a
dual-sport that has been fitted by the manufacturer
with smaller rims and road tires. Supermotos are
quickly gaining popularity as street bikes due to their
combination of light weight, durability, relatively low
cost, and sporty handling.

Types of motorcycles..

..Types of motorcycles..

Sport bikes, cruisers, scooters, and touring bikes are some of the many types of motorcycles.
There are many systems for classifying types of motorcycles , describing how the motorcycles are put to use, or the designer's intent, or some combination of the two. [1] Six main categories are widely recognized:
cruiser, sport, touring, standard, dual-purpose, and
dirt bike. [2][3][4][5] Sometimes sport touring
motorcycles are recognized as a seventh category. [1]
Strong lines are sometimes drawn between
motorcycles and their smaller cousins, mopeds,
scooters, and underbones, [6] but other classification
schemes include these as types of motorcycles. [7]
There is no universal system for classifying all types
of motorcycles. There are strict classification systems
enforced by competitive motorcycle sport sanctioning
bodies, or by certain legal jurisdictions for motorcycle
registration, emissions, road traffic safety rules or
motorcyclist licensing . There are also informal
classifications or nicknames used by manufacturers,
riders, and the motorcycling media. Some experts do
not recognize sub-types, like naked bike, that "purport
to be classified" outside the six usual classes,
because they fit within one of the main types and are
recognizable only by cosmetic changes. [8]

1..Street..
Street motorcycles are motorcycles designed for being
ridden on paved roads. They have smooth tires with a
light tread pattern and engines generally in the 125 cc
(7.6 cu in) and over range. Most are capable of
speeds up to 100 mph (160 km/h), and many of speeds
in excess of 125 mph (201 km/h).

2..Standard..
The Ducati Monster 696 naked bike
Standards, also called naked bikes or roadsters , are
versatile, general purpose street motorcycles. [1] They
are recognized primarily by their upright riding
position, partway between the reclining posture of the
cruisers and the forward leaning sport bikes. [3] Foot
pegs are below the rider and handlebars are high
enough to not force the rider to reach far forward,
placing the shoulders above the hips in a natural
position. [2] Standards are often recommended to
beginning motorcyclists due to their flexibility,
relatively low cost, and moderate engines. [1]
Standards usually do not come with fairings or
windscreens, or if they have them, they are relatively
small. [1] Standard is often a synonym for naked bike,
a term that became popular in the 1990s in response
to the proliferation of fully faired sport bikes. The
standard seemed to have disappeared, fueling
nostalgia for the return of the Universal Japanese
motorcycle (UJM), [1] which were admired for their
simplicity, quality, and versatility. [3][4][6]
Muscle bike is a nickname for a motorcycle type,
derived from either a standard or sport bike design,
that puts a disproportionately high priority on engine
power. [1][9][10] Roadster is another common term
equivalent to standard or naked. [11]

3..Cruiser..
Main article: Cruiser (motorcycle)
Harley-Davidson cruisers and a touring bike
(red).
Cruisers are styled after American machines from the
1930s to the early 1960s, such as those made by
Harley-Davidson , Indian , and Excelsior-Henderson . [1]
Harley-Davidsons largely define the cruiser category,
and large- displacement V-twin engines are the norm,
although other engine configurations and small to
medium displacements also exist. [1] Their engines are
tuned for low-end torque, making them less
demanding to ride because it is not necessary to
shift as frequently to accelerate or maintain control.
[12] Cruisers are sometimes called "custom" even in
the absence of aftermarket modifications.
The riding position places the feet forward and the
hands are up relatively high, so that the spine is erect
or leaning back slightly. [1][3] At low to moderate
speeds, cruisers are more comfortable than other
styles, [3][4] but riding for long periods at freeway
speeds can lead to fatigue from pulling back on the
handlebars to resist the force of the wind against the
rider's chest. [13] Cruisers have limited cornering
ability due to a lack of ground clearance.

4.. CHOPPER..
Peter Fonda rides a chopper used in Easy
Rider .
.Choppers are a type of cruiser, so called because they
are a "chopped", or cut-down, version of a production
cruiser. Choppers are usually custom projects that
result in a bike modified to suit the owner's ideals,
and, as such, are a source of pride and
accomplishment. Stereotypically, a chopper may have
raked-out forks, small fuel tanks and high handlebars.
Choppers were popularised in the Peter Fonda film
Easy Rider . Being designed primarily for visual
effect, choppers will not usually be the most efficient
riding machines.
Power cruiser is a name used to distinguish bikes in
the cruiser class that have significantly more engine
output, around 80–100 hp (60–75 kW) as opposed to
about 50–70 hp (37–52 kW). They often come with
upgraded brakes and suspensions, better ground
clearance, and premium surface finishes, as well as
more exotic or non-traditional styling.

4..Sport bike..
Main article: Sport bike

Sport bikes emphasize speed, acceleration, braking,
and cornering on paved roads, [3][5][14][15] typically
at the expense of comfort and fuel economy in
comparison to less specialized motorcycles. [1][6]
Because of this, there are certain design elements
that most motorcycles of this type will share. Sport bikes have comparatively high performance engines
resting inside a lightweight frame. Inline-four engines
dominate the sport bike category, with V-twins having
a significant presence, and nearly every other engine
configuration appearing in small numbers at one time
or another. [1] The combination of these elements helps
maintain structural integrity and chassis rigidity. [1]
Braking systems combine higher performance brake
pads and multi-piston calipers that clamp onto
oversized vented rotors. [1] Suspension systems are
advanced in terms of adjustments and materials for
increased stability and durability. [1] Most sport bikes
have fairings , often completely enclosing the engine,
and windscreens that effectively deflect the air at
very high speeds, or at least reduce overall drag. [1]
Sport bikes have high foot pegs that position the legs
closer to the body to improve ground clearance when
cornering, and a long reach to the hand controls, which
positions the body and center of gravity forward,
above the fuel tank. The rider leans forward into the
wind, the force of which can comfortably support the
rider's weight at speeds near 100 mph (160 km/h), but
at lower speeds leaves too much weight on the arms
and wrists, causing fatigue.
Streetfighters are derived from sport bikes, originally
being customized sport bikes with the fairings
removed and higher handlebars replacing the low clip-
on handlebars. [16][17] Since the 1990s, factory
streetfighters have been produced. [18] As with naked
bike and muscle bike (below), the name streetfighter
is used to help clarify the middle ground occupied by
designs that blend elements of both sport bikes and
standards...

Means of sport bikes..

A sport bike , aka "sportbike" and
"sportsbike", is a motorcycle
optimized for speed, acceleration,
braking, and cornering on paved
roads, [1][2][3][4] typically at the
expense of comfort and fuel
economy by comparison with
more standard motorcycles .

The emphasis of a sport bike
being on speed, acceleration,
braking, and maneuverability,
there are certain design elements.
that most motorcycles of this
type will share.

Rider ergonomics..
This generally means higher foot pegs that move the legs closer to the body and moreof a reach to a lower
set of hand controls, such as clip
on handlebars, which positions
the body and weight forward and
over the tank. [4][6] Sport bikes
have comparatively high-
performance engines resting
inside a lightweight frame.[6]
High tech and expensive
materials are often used on sport
bikes to reduce weight. [6]
Braking systems combine higher
performance brake pads and disc
brakes with multi-piston calipers
that clamp onto oversized
vented rotors. Suspension
systems are advanced in terms
of adjustments and materials for
increased stability and durability.
Front and rear tires are larger
and wider than tires found on
other types of motorcycles to
allow higher cornering speeds
and greater lean angles. Fairings
may or may not be used on a
sport bike; when used, fairings
are shaped to reduce
aerodynamic drag as much as
possible and provide wind
protection for the rider.[6]
The combination of rider position,
location of the engine and other
heavy components, and the
motorcycle's geometry help
maintain structural integrity and
chassis rigidity, and determine
how it will behave under
acceleration, braking, and
cornering. Correct front-to-rear
weight distribution is of particular
importance to the handling of
sport bikes, and the changing
position of the rider's body
dynamically changes the
handling of the motorcycle. [15]
Because of the complexity of
modeling all the possible
movements of different sized
riders, to approach perfect tuning
of a motorcycle's weight
distribution and suspension is
often only possible by having a
bike customized or at least
adjusted to fit a specific rider.[15]
Generally, road racing style sport
bikes have shorter wheelbases
than those intended for more
comfortable touring, and the
current trend in sport bike design
is towards shorter wheelbases,
giving quicker turning at the
expense of a greater tendency
for unintentional wheelies and
stoppies under hard acceleration
and braking, respectively. [15][16]

Motorcycle Sportbikes: How
and why to drag a knee?

If you ride a sportbike on the street,
it may occur to you that you're
riding it to about 10% of its
potential. But, on the street there is
90% more danger than on a closed
course, like a bonafide race track.
But, maybe you're one of the lucky
ones that lives where the twisties
are free of sand, rocks, animals,
and guard rails, and you wish to
increase your corner speed.
Sportbikes were made for the pure
rush of running a bike as fast
through a corner, sliding the front
tire, and then spinning the rear out
of the exit of the turn. But, without
the proper Center of Gravity (CG),
Contact Patch, and throttle
application, then one may find
themselves in a baseball-style slide
on their butt, or worse, being
ejected into the stratosphere due
to a high-side.

How to do drift on a bike..

How to Use the Clutch
to Drift With a
Motorcycle..

SuperMoto drivers use clutch to
drift and earn time to going faster
on the track. Drifting with clutch
permits you to brake later and to
position your motorcycle to turn
faster.

1.Roll in a straight line. You
must have speed to drift.
Stabilise your speed when
your motor is running at
an average regime (more than
7000 rpm for a 4 or 3 cylinder,
around 6000rpm for a 2 or a
single cylinder).

2.Take the clutch.
Wait that your motor turn
slower.
Let the clutch to the
clutching point or totally if
you have a control engine
braking.

3.Now your rear wheel turns
slower than the front
wheel and it makes your
motorbike drift.
When both wheels have
the same turning speed it
will stop to slide.

Be ready for the bike to turn.
4.while it will drift.
Practice in a safe area.

5.The body position is very
important. If you stay straight,
the bike should stay in the
same position and you could
not feel that you are drifting. If
your body is on the left side of
the bike, the rear will slide on
the right. If your body is on the
right side of the bike, the rear
will slide on the left.

6.When you let the clutch, you
can use the rear brake to
control the speed of the rear
wheel. The rear wheel must
keep spinning.

7.To drift more you can use the
front brake. It will give less
weight on the rear wheel and
give it less grip.

8.Hold the tank between your
legs. It permits you to guide the
bike.

How to do a front wheelie.

First step is a basic "roll on
power wheelie". Basically,
you need a bike with enough
power to raise the front wheel
off the ground with simple
acceleration. You need to get
comfortable with the front end
getting "light". Most stock bikes
won't be able to do this
without some modification.
You can also try getting the
bike up to a good speed in first
gear(around 10-20 kph), once
you reach the powerband
(where the engine starts to go
faster with little throttle) let off
just a little, then give it a lot of
gas. Not so much gas that you
flip over, but a good amount.
You'll notice the front end pick
up, and if you let off the gas, it
goes back down. More gas
after the powerband will get it
up higher. If you don't have a
stabilizer, this would be the
ideal time to get one. Trying to
lift the bike off the ground and
then coming back down
suddenly will cause the front
tire to shake. If you don't land
almost perfectly straight, you
will do a highside (flip off the
bike over the front). You will
be hurting and so will your
bike.

2.Once you get comfortable
with the front end getting light,
try to carry the wheelie further
each time. After you are
comfortable with this move on
to the next step, which is
slipping the clutch.
Roll at about 10-20 kph in
first gear on.

3.Pull in the clutch and rev
the motor a little, then slip
the clutch. Do this a few times
with a little more gas each
time until you start to feel
comfortable with how high the
front end is coming up. The
front end will come up quicker
than a power wheelie, so be
prepared.

4.Once you are comfortable
getting the front up a little,
it's time to worry about throttle
and brake control. Use the
throttle to maintain the height
of the wheelie and the back
brake to keep from looping the
bike. Chopping the throttle
while in first will almost always
bring you back over, but you
will most likely slam the front
pretty hard.
